Growing New Teachers

Investing in Teachers is Investing in Success

Teachers enter the classroom with anticipation of changing the world. Their energy and enthusiasm for teaching and21000 learning are contagious. But unfortunately, almost half of them won’t survive the first five years. The solution to retaining the best and brightest new teachers is to provide them with an active onboarding experience. While many districts have in-house support, it is often not as intensive or as comprehensive as it needs to be to truly provide a quality induction experience.

We have an innovative, job-embedded staff development approach that provides support for beginning teachers -- no substitutes needed.

As with all of our other services, differentiated coaching occurs one-on-one with teachers in their classrooms. Participants will receive personalized feedback, resources, demonstration lessons, and planning support.

Principals say…

“The ERG coaches develop meaningful relationships with staff members, help teachers advocate for what they need to be successful, and develop human capacity that will provide a return on investment for years to come”

Why do new teachers struggle?

Almost 50% of teachers leave the profession within the first five years. Beginning teachers often feel overwhelmed, struggle with classroom and time management, experience isolation, and are expected to perform the same job duties and responsibilities as their veteran counterparts. Many are just trying to keep their heads above water. Our induction coaches will work with your beginning teachers to develop them into competent and quality educators.

Participants will receive support for:

  • Classroom management
  • Time management
  • Content knowledge
  • Instructional delivery
Achievement

“ERG has helped me grow as a teacher. Not only has it enabled me to identify strengths and weaknesses in my students, but it has also taught me ways to help my students address those strengths and weaknesses.

As a teacher, ERG has instilled in me a new profound passion for teaching.”
-Amy Lemons, Teacher
