ERG Independent Study – Using Children’s Literature to Teach Mathematics

Integrate literacy into your K-12 math instruction to make it more engaging for students and lead to a deeper understanding of mathematics content. This cross curricular format allows you to choose picture books appropriate for your students and engage them in thoughtful literacy activities while teaching math. You will gain 10 hours of continuing education credit as you are harmonizing your instruction.
How to complete your ERG Independent Study:
- Purchase your Independent Study. You will receive a downloadable PDF once the order has been received. (Look under “downloads” for the link. You can also view your downloads by visiting your “My Account” page and clicking on the Downloads tab.)
- Complete the Independent Study. This can be done at your leisure – there is no time limit or due date. Make sure you complete and keep all journal entries, artifacts, etc.
- When you are ready to submit, email your items to kaitlyn@myedresource.com. If all rubric requirements are met, you will receive your certificate of completion by email.
