Dogs of ERG, Part 2
Well y’all, things are really weird and uncertain right now. Times are changing right in front of us, and it can be a little (or a lot) scary. Since pretty much everything we are seeing on our news feeds is about the current pandemic, we wanted to bring you all something completely different: dogs!
PS- we wrote about three other Dogs of ERG last month. If you missed that post, or just want to lay your eyes on some other cute pups, you can find it here.
Marlie
My human: Amy Nail
My breed: Cocker Spaniel
My birthday: April 1, 2017 (Yes, April Fool’s Day… my human says that’s very appropriate.)
My story: I was chosen from a litter of four nearly identical brothers and sisters because of my sweet face. I am a native of Fayetteville, I am a lovable, yet crazy, girl, and I have a brother named Charlie.
Things I love:
- Snuggling
- Car rides
- Tennis balls (especially those under the couch)
Things I hate:
- Being awakened from my nap to go to bed at night
Fun fact about me & my human: My human leaves me “in charge” when she leaves each day
Violet
My human: The Greenwood Family (Mac & Mom are my favorites)
My breed: Beagle
My birthday: April 2, 2008 (estimated)
My story: I was found by a kind friend in the parking lot of a Lowes Foods early one Saturday morning. My vet thinks I was maybe a puppy mill dog because I had apparently had puppies at a young age. My mom saw my sweet face on Facebook, found out I rarely barked and tolerated very active little boys and fell in love with me. I moved into my house soon after.
Things I love: Long, slow walks that allow me to sniff everything and snuggles
Things I hate: Storms and other scary, loud noises
Fun fact about me & my human: I love to sleep on my boy’s bed/pillow while he is at school.
Lex
My human: Melissa Cunane
My breed: Labrador Retriever
My birthday: September 25, 2009
My story: I am one of 7 puppies that were born in my mom’s kitchen. It was late in the evening but she stayed up with us all night long. Each of my siblings was adopted 8 weeks later but I was the lucky one. I got to stay at home! I am sort of like a therapy dog for my family. I was born at a time when my dad was undergoing cancer treatment and because of how adorable I am you couldn’t help being happy when you walked in our house. Even now, all these years later, I am the first one who gets spoken to when someone comes to visit. Ask my friend April Greenwood. She knows.
Things I love:
- Food, food and more food
- Walking in the woods
- Sleeping on the couch
Things I hate:
- Being told to get off the couch
- My big fluffy orange cat brother (he’s scary)
- Going outside in the rain to do my business
Fun fact about me & my human: My mom loves falling asleep to the sound of my snoring. She’s weird but I love her for that.
