Math Workshops

July 25, 26, & 27, 2017

Salem College

 

Advanced Guided Math with Laney Sammons (K-8) — Tuesday, July 25, 2017

This institute is designed for teachers who are currently teaching in the Guided Math framework. Laney Sammons will work with teachers to dig deeper into their classroom practices for the framework components of small group instruction and math workshop.

 

Mathematical Content Academy (K-5) — Wednesday, July 26, 2017

This workshop is intended for K-2 and 3-5 educators to strengthen their content knowledge in math. ERG math consultants Melissa Rareshide and Lisa Williamson will engage educators in tasks that will build their conceptual knowledge base and promote student thinking and engagement.

 

Supporting Math Coaches (K-12) — Thursday, July 27, 2017

This workshop addresses the many facets of mathematics coaching. ERG math consultants Melissa Rareshide and Lisa Williamson will lead coaches in examining and exploring coaching models and their impact on teaching practices.
